Recycle Reduce and Reuse to Go Green
Everybody hears these words of advice over and over, but sometimes we don’t think about the little things that we can be recycling, reusing, and reducing.
Here are a healthy green living tips to make you think when it comes to these three words.
How or Are You Living A Greener Lifestyle in 2010?!
Do you get things in the mail?
Reuse those shipping boxes. You can remove the tape and lay them flat until you need them, or if you don’t think you will need them any time soon, consider posting them up on your local freecycle boards, or even craigslist. You can post them as shipping boxes. You would be surprised on how many people may come for them.
The shipping materials can also be placed on those sites, or you can use them for crafts, drop them off at a pack and ship store, or even a UPS store. Most of these types of stores would gladly reuse them for you.
Styrofoam peanuts even work great at the bottom of a flower pot to help with drainage.
You can even soak the peanuts into a commercial biodegradable solvent that will break down the peanuts and create really good working permanent glue.
Just some ideas to keep you thinking green in the year 2010!
